If you have a wooden floor in your home, you should be able to keep it clean. You should maintain it in the best way you can so that it will not be damaged and it will last long. If you want to polish your wood, use hardwood floor mops. These mops are made especially for wooden surface so they are guaranteed safe and effective. To be able to mop your floor effectively, you should clean it first.
Use your vacuum to remove the dirt and dust particles on your floor. After doing so, sweep and vacuum your floor for the second time to ensure that the floor is free of small particles. Afterwards, fill your bucket with hot or lukewarm water and add a floor cleaner or cleaning solution to it. It is suggested to use a cleaner made especially for hardwood too. Mix them carefully and dip your mop in the bucket. Squeeze excess water from the mop using your hand or a lever if it is present.
After that, you can already clean and polish your floor by moving your mop in a straight fashion if you are using a sponge mop or making figure 8 shapes on the floor if you’re using a rag mop. After all that, leave the area to dry.
